It will appear on your document, do not move it. On the top right of the options bar, click on the checkmark. To insert the picture, go to File > Place and select the picture. You NEED to save it or else it WON’T WORK. You can search for one on google, or you can use this one: Step 8: Now, draw a vertical line starting from the top to the bottom. On the very last square ON THE BOTTOM, use the same red (#e52a2a). For the second square ALSO ON THE BOTTOM, choose white. Step 7: Without closing the screen, on the bottom “metre”, click on the first colour square on the bottom and use the colour #e52a2a (red). In the “presets” box, choose the “blue, yellow, blue” one. On the options bar, you’ll see a bar with colour. Step 5: Add a new layer and choose “overlay”. Step 4: Go back to Filter > Blur > Motion Blur and set the angle to 90 degrees. Step 3: Now go to Filter > Pixelate > Mezzotint. Set your background colour to white (if it’s not already). Size doesn’t matter, but mine is 2560×1440. I definitely forgot the steps, so please bear with me as the completed project might look a bit different. NOTE: It may look different, as I made the background above a while ago. Show your pride with the Maple Leaf background (: If you find a way to do it, please let me know so I can incorporate it into this tutorial. Tagged animation package, gap, gif, gimp, gimp tutorial, installation Requests? STAY TUNED FOR THE GIF TUTORIAL (omg I’m hyping this up)!! Leave comments below if this helped you! ? If there is, then YAY you successfully installed GAP ? If not, then I don’t even know what to do lol, uninstall GAP and the plug-ins and do it over again. There should be a new “Video” option on the options bar between “Filters” and “Windows”. All the plug-ins should be in that folder. Open the folder and look for another folder called “plug-ins”. Open it and there will be a folder titled “.gimp-2.8”, and it will most likely be at the top of the folder.

Find the folder that has your account name on it. Step 4: Go to your local disk (probably your C: Drive) and click on the folder that’s called “Users”. Open it and open the folder named Gimp > 2.0 > plug-ins > Select all of the items in the folder (ctrl+a). Step 3 (yep you’re not done): Go back to your Downloads folder. Complete the installation which is pretty straightforward. Open the GAP-Installer folder and open the installer.

There should be several folders, here are the ones that should be in it: EXTRA_ANIMATION_SCRIPTS, EXTRA-AUDIO-support, EXTRA-plugin-Animated_Cursor, GAP-installer, TUTORIAL_Doc, and a text document called HOW TO INSTALL. Look for a folder titled “GAP_2_6_for_Gimp_2_6_Windows_by_photocomix_resources” and open it and the folder within it. It’ll probably be in your downloads folder. If you happen to be sent to the Deviant Art page, simply click on “download file” near the top right corner.

It’ll either start download automatically or you will be linked to a Deviant Art page. It’s required for making GIFS (which I will be doing a tutorial on SOON) and the installation is a *bit* complicated, I had to click around before I could actually get it to work.

Step 5: Create another layer and do the same thing as step 4 but this time, starting from the right. There should be a gradient on the right side of the page. Step 4: Create a new layer and click on the left side of the document and drag it all the way to the other end. Step 3: Click on the box beside the Gradient bar and look for a gradient called Flare Glow Radial 2. Step 2 : In the toolbox, select the “gradient” option (called the Blend Tool if you move your cursor over it). Step 1: Make a new document sized 800 x 140. It’s pretty plain, but I think it looks nice, and I seriously need to post something to kill time between the gif tutorial. So here is this RAINBOW BLOG HEADER TUTORIAL ? I’M STALLING BECAUSE I HAVEN’T FINISHED THE GIF TUTORIAL YET LOL
